One trip
Most repairs are finished the same day you bring them in.
There is a version of this business that works fine somewhere else.
A phone shop in a big city can sell somebody the most expensive thing on the wall and never see them again. There are always more strangers walking past the window.
That does not work in Albany. Sell somebody the wrong plan on a Tuesday and you are standing behind them in the grocery store on Saturday. Their cousin comes in the following week. Their church hears about it before you have finished cashing up.
So we ended up running the shop a particular way, not out of virtue but because the town does not leave you much choice. Prices go on the website. If a repair is not worth doing we say so. If protection would not pay for itself on your phone we tell you to keep your money. And when somebody asks about rent to own, we show them exactly what it costs against paying cash, because they will work it out eventually and we would rather they heard it from us.
None of that is complicated. It is just harder to walk away from when your customers are also your neighbours.
More than most people expect from a phone shop.
Screens, batteries, charging ports and water damage, on phones, tablets, consoles and computers.
Cell service across the major carriers, home internet, and remote tech support for everything in the house.
Phones and devices on the shelf, and cash for the one sitting in your drawer.
Televisions, soundbars and in wall cable routing across Albany and the surrounding counties.
Device protection through Akko, including loss and theft, from five dollars a month.
We publish scam warnings every week, because the people getting hit hardest are the ones who trust a phone call.
“After much research I found DAVPro Wireless from the great reviews they received and the reviews didn’t let me down at all. He will definitely be the ONLY company in Albany to touch our phones.”Shantasia Reed · Google review
No appointment. Bring the problem, ask what it costs, and leave again if the answer does not suit you. Nobody here works on commission.
